hello

we have a ldk-100 phone system - which we use a call logger software to pull in all dialled numbers

in the last 2 weeks this has stopped working

when I hyperterminal to the ldk-100

if it constantly streaming this

LDK-100 System
Version LGE/UK92P-B . 2Ff MAR/04
Date:04/18/15
Time:13:54:01
Hotel Name : Abbey Hotel
Enter Password: **********************************
Access Canceled!

each time this tried it uses a different length password

and this is continuous

is there a way I can cancel the process? I have tried rebooting the system but it is still happening

I am not trying to type a password - its like there are loads of buffered attemps it is working through

I have tried a reboot with no luck

If there is a serial cable between th ipLDK-100 (Hotel) and the hotel computer system, you could have bad common grounding between the systems and therefore electrical noise could interfear. If you are using LAN maybe check yor cabeling. Use ferrite cores (always delivered with the ipLDK) to install (pull around) all ISDN, serial, LAN and extension cables. This will keep the electrical noise away, so your password will b e correct entered.

Hi Doktor

I am having an engineer turn up today to confirm the issue

I tested the same connection from a laptop to guarantee it was not the PC and also plugged a short Serial cable between the ldk and laptop - also with the same issue

I was told it could be a log buffer which is full and typing the error in the password box?

hoping to issue will be resolved today and I will get an answer for the issue as this system has gone a good 8 years with no issues whilst I have been supporting

Cheers
