How can I make it so that if someone dials a DID# for the person down the hall, the system automatically strips the digits and completes it as an internal call. For example, when I dial 917158450xxx, I would like the system to only dial xxx.
Thanks
Teekow
You can define the LDID for your NXX or NPA (LD 90) and it will keep the call internal even though you dial the NPA or NXX for the call. The LDID is you DID range that comes in on a DID route. Usually it is 4 digits but some places only rec three. Just define the LDID in LD 90. Go to the NTPs for exact syntax.
In this case, the PBX is in a 10-digit dialing area. The range for DIDs are (123)456-5500 through (123)456-5599. Any time someone dials a DID number via 9-123-456-55XX, DMI 1 will strip off 123-456 and send the call directly to the extension.

with 942 as my did range, i tried to del 3 (942) after anyone dial 942+
i am trying to force 9+942+xxxx to stay as an internal call, i have the complete range as a did group. i build this after looking at your example, but when i dial it hits the route referenced in the rli and sends 4 digits. are you sending your rli to a true route? where did i miss the boat, thanks in advance
