Hi all,

Is it possible to do an LDAP query to an Avaya phone system (the s8700 or s8300 etc). I want to make a web page for people to search the directory from their PCs. At the moment I just use Site Admin to dump the extensions to a text file and search that, but would like to query the system directly.

Cheers,
Steve

I think it must be possible with Directory Enabled Management. Okay it will give you a lot more possibilities but I think it wil sure help you to extract names and numbers from an S8xx server or Intuity Audix system.

Hope this helps..

John

I could be wrong, but I believe the hard phones only support that if you have an AG250 server. We just set up our first AG250 to serve 4621s and 4625s at a customer location. It's pretty cool. The primary function is to convert HTML to WML in order to display web pages on the web enabled phones, but it also serves LDAP and text messaging. There is a developer tool to create your own web pages and publish them to the phones. I believe there are also other fuctions that I haven't explored yet. Not sure about Softphone's LDAP capabilities.
