Hi,

do you have good experiences for backup a LDAP server that runs on a Debian with NetWorker ?

Does it exist a specific agent to make LDAP hot backup ?

Where can I found information ?

Thanks

Hi,
NetWorker doesn't have any special ASM or application module for LDAP on Debian. You will need to have a look through the docs for the LDAP server and see how that should be backed up.

There might be a dump/export option that can be used. You can then back up this dump with NetWorker. You can script all of this and use NetWorker's pre and post commands with savepnpc to achieve all this.

But, you will need to know how to get a consistent backup of your LDAP database at first.

Good luck!

Do you know any procedure to make a consistent snapshot of ldap database ?

Nope, it all comes down to what the application can do and how that should be handled.
