I have loaded the lastest version of adminpak onto my XP Pro. When I try and connect to my domain (W2K Adv. Srv)through AD Users I get this message about needing to update my Server to Service Pack 3. I've already done this. Both machines have all of the updates microsoft has available. I don't get it. I played with the registry on both machine's tring to disable LDAP. This didn't help eighter. Maybe someone has tried this already and had success. Thanks in advance. By the way it claims my server is not operational. This simple is not true. It even asks me if I want to connect to the domain through the domain controller. When I try and go that route.

Why did you try to disable LDAP?
What changes did you do in registry?

As about adminpak.msi you can manage win2k just from a computer with win2k prof or server (as microsoft is saying).

From XP you can install adminpak and manage .NEt and 2003 servers.

The help menu in AD users had me add an extra key to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE -> SOFTWARE -> Microsoft -> Windows -> CurrentVersion-> AdminDebug -> ADsOpenObjectFlags=3 I've change things back in the registry.

So what your telling me is that I can't manage my W2K server from my XP.
