LD80 TRAC translation 1

I have an integration issue with an E1 to a Nokia switch, (Vodafone). The problem I'm having is determining what digits the Nokia is sending.
In my RDB I have no digit INST or DEL & IDC = NO. Vodafone assure me they are sending an 8 digit number, in this example 94418999, but I believe I'm only getting 4 digits. If I do a LD80 TRAC I get

Is the "DIAL DN 8999" what I'm receiving. I beleive it is as obviously this is what the M1 dials & also as I'm doing 0 digit manipulation. Am I missing something. Can the M1 be set to strip digits elsewhere that I haven't considered. Also, in the "ISDN PRA CALL (TERM)" what does the
CALLED NO = 1038999 indicate, ie the 103 bit.
 
It is not easy to understand exactly what is going on but I do think also that you are receiving 8999.

I can tell you that you should active incoming messages on the D-Channel

I think the 103 of 1038999 would be info (let's say NCOS) of the incoming trunk? would that make sense?

Did as you suggested & turned MSGI on & this what the trace gave me

so is this saying I am receiving digits 94418999 & if so what setting & where tells my M1 to strip the 9441 & dial 8999. I know it's not in the RDB or IDC

Going on your example would mean that I am receiving 94418999. If this is the case, as I'm starting to suspect it is where does the M1 strip the 9441. In the RDB
INST is blank
DEL is blank
IDC = NO
 
I know I am suprised also, I am actually trying to compare with my system, and I also get &quot;translation&quot; from I don't know where yet.... but I count on finding it.
I'll let you know ASAP. I got the same results as you but IDC says no in the RDB so I am looking elsewhere there is some other places that it can be manipulated, that is for sure.

Turn up the IDC entry then ring a DN that is not configured on the PBX and not entered in the IDC table, You should then receive an err183, This will tell you what is being delivered.

confirmed that what I am receiving is

the digits 94418999. My problem now is how to turn on the IDC Enhancement feature which says you can do 8 digit IDC. I set LDN0 to a 7 digit number, (DNXP) which is the max. This now allows me to IDC the trailing 7 digits, ie in this example 4418999. However, I can't figure out how to do the full 8 digits. There appears to be now guide on this in the NTPs & Nortel are having a look for me.
 
Go into the route, Set DNIS to YES, Set IDC to YES, Set DIGITS to 5, Doesn't matter what the Nokia is throwing at you.

Create your IDC table or just reference an existing table.

If there are no entries then you should see some 183's errors just to confirm that the DNIS length has changed to 4 or 5 in length.

Well JAY2003, your a genius. I turned DNIS = YES, NDGT = 8 & all now I'm IDCing the full 8 digits. Have to say this has got me beat though. I've only ever used DNIS to send information to Symposium etc. I have no idea how htis all fits with 8 digit IDC but I'm happy I've got it all working
