LD 95 Group Name setup and DCH monitoring to view correct name sent 3

Hello all,

I just recently tried to setup the Group Name option in LD 95 and assigned it to a new CLID entry in LD 15. I have set my phone to use the correct CLID table entry and have made test calls.

Results I see 2077 come across the incoming DID but do not get the group name I provisioned in 95.

I turned on DCH Messaging to try and see if I am indeed sending the correct name being sent but after capturing I cannot see any name being sent.

Have I used the wrong command?

name will be embedded in the facility message and in hex, you'll need to convert from hex to ascii

netwood names are pulled from the ss7 table, not from your switch. your provider can either link you to that table or enter the name/dn at your request..

the ss7 is a national database.. if i send my home number as a my clid, i get the name as entered on my home phone. my home phone is not in the same area code or with the same provider, but still shows since the local provider pulls from the ss7..

my mistake, if you want to see what you're sending out, set msgo x mon 2 - where x is your dch

Copy that. Any names I want broadcasted (netwood name)need to be setup in the ss7 national table and I get access to the table via my Telco Provider or have my provider change the name for said number for me again utilizing the ss7 table

correct. You don't get access, your local C.O. will output the name you want.
