logged a problem with lcr and extension billing still having problems but a little bit closer

if i put in the below

S/C = ? , Number = 1620,E. , Feature = Dial

This works through phone manager but not through dialling out just through the phone, anyone know the reason for this?

What do you want to accomplish?
the , just slows down the dailing for about 3 seconds.

The only thing I can possibly think of is timers.
With phone managers its just a binary message via the PC to dial.
With manual entry the user could be doing it to fast or too slow.

Can you just try something, this is something we found ages ago. I assumed it may have been addressed but it looks like maybe not.

For some strange reason to get this E character to work properly we had to set the dial delay count to 0 and then set the dial delay timer to 2 or 3 or something like that.

The idea is that it doesnt match the dial delay count because it is set to 0 so in theory the system wont try and do anything until you have dialled the full number (assuming you do not leave a gap of 2 or 3 in between digits whilst dialling).

When you have dialled the dial delay timer will elapse and send the full number.

this is what we had to do to get the E character to work.

its for extension billing, the 1620 calls the line carrier, then the E sends the extension number of the person calling, it only seems to work with the ,,'s added but only when dialling through phone manager

I will look into the timers thanks for that

Just another point though, when dialling through phone manager, we get a message up saying invlid account code, however the call still goes out

This one was in the helpfile.

In this example, N represents any valid account code. For the purpose of this example, we will imagine the account code to be 1234. Once this short code is created, a user can dial 11*1234# to get a dial tone for dialing the restricted telephone number or the phone number needing to be tracked for billing purposes.

Short code: 11*N#

Telephone Number: N

Feature: SetAccountCode
