Hi,

Thank you very much for help with my previous question, I have now set up my IPECS-50 LIK50B with a BRI>GSM gateway and I am having difficulties with LCR.

I have placed two GSM lines in CO group 2.

LCR I have set:
PGM220 'LCR access mode':Only Loop LCR
PGM221 'LCR type':COL, 'Compared Digits':07, 'DMT1':000000
PGM222 'CO/IP group':2

e.g. The GSM number i am trying to call is 07890 123456

with the settings above I dial 907890123456.
The GSM gateway CO LED lights, and the LCD shows 0707890123456 and the call does not connect. For some reason an extra '07' is added to the dialled number.

If i set 'number of digits to be removed':4 and i dial 907890123456 the station LCD initially shows 0707890123456 the call connects ok and then when the call is answered, the LCD changes to 070707890123456.

This also breaks all 9 + 01 number calls unless i create a PGM221 entry for '01' and also set PGM222 'remove digits':4 for '01' calls.

I have read through all the LCR posts in the forum and I can't see anyone else having to remove digits to make LCR work correctly. Where are all these extra 07's coming from?

Have I set area code prefix insertion wrongly somewhere?

thanks,
Oli.

FIRMWARE VER. UK93M-E.0Do MAR/09

update:

If I press a LOOP FlexButton instead of dialling '9' the number is dialled correctly without having to remove 4 digits.

What is the difference between dialling 9 and pressing LOOP as far as LCR is concerned?

thanks,
Oli.

Hello there

There was an issue with LCR and older versions doing what you mentioned in your post (i have found this out through personal experience).
Try upgrading your software to 5.0GS and I believe your problems will go away.

Stu

Hi,

thanks for your suggestions.

I have contacted my providor and they have sent me a firmware upgrade package named: MFIM-50B-GS93M50Gs containing files: GS93M50Gs.rom and GS93H50Gs.rom

my current version is:
MFIM/UK93M-E.0Do MAR/09
Boot Version-1.0Am JUL/08

I have followed the instructions:
1. set maint password.
2. login with maint password.
3. delete all filesystem files in system management
4. upload GS93M50Gs.rom

at this point, the instructions say that I should get a 'File Upload Success - Reset system?' message. Instead, as soon as I click upgrade, I get a 404 error page not found.

I wait a few minutes and reset the system, but I still have the same software version.

I have tried upgrading with IE8 and firefox, but firefox won't load the s/w upgrade page, I have also tried another PC running XP and IE8, and same thing happens.

please can anyone help?

thanks,
Oli.

You will also need to enter the upgrade file GS93H50Gs.rom. This should then show the correct software level on your browser

Hi,

I did try also loading the GS93H50Gs.rom html pack, but this also came up with the error, and no 'file upload success' message.

What should the latest version number show as? the ROM file name states version 50Gs but the help file talks about upgrading to E.0do. which is what i am already running. Should 5.0Gs show as the version number once upgraded?

thanks,
Oli.

Firmware upgrade problem solved by using IE6 to upgrade from within a virtual machine.

Upgraded firmware now displays
MFIM/UK93M-5.0Gs JUL/10
Boot Version-1.0Bg MAY/10

LCR issue is resolved with firmware update.

thanks,
Oli.
