I took it a few months ago. I didn't find any practice questions..my only tip is really know the DOS commands inside and out. There is a section on SAN/Storage Node/Cluster setups too.
The LCNS exam covers much more than what is in the 640 course material. Some things you should know include:
- how to calculate how many firewall ports to open?
- NDMP
- cluster
- Performance issues, such as: given certain environment, how can you improve performance?
- SAN backup networks
- Dynamic drive sharing
- how to analize routing tables
There are 294 questions. And it is not o/s specific; i.e. the questions can be for different o/s platforms: windows, NT, hp-ux, solaris, etc.
You best bet is to read the 640 course material and also review the NetWorker Admin guide for both Unix and Windows.
I gave this exam a lot of respect and spend 2 weeks reviewing the said material before writing it, and I'm glad I did.
