LCD on a PC? 1

I thought it would be neat to hook up the laptop screen on the side of another PC project's case. Would one connect to a desktop mobo?
 
You would need the video driver board and drivers from the laptop the LCD was designed for. It would be like putting a Ford engine into a Chevy, with no welding equiptment or info on the parts involved!
 
Laptop LCDs are integrated into the motherboards. But you could do the same thing with LCDs that are designed to tie into VGA cards.
Try a google search for "lunchbox PCs" and I suspect you'll find lots of possibilities. Or look for flat screen displays for rack mount equipment.
