I want to take a picture with an object (i.e. a leaf), and put it on a new layer.... then do the same with another picture (i.e. a tree)and put it on the same layer to create a logo, etc... Can someone help me with the steps for this, then make it a certain size (i.e. 200x30) as a transparent gif please. Thanks in advance for any help!

Open both and drag and drop the tree into the leaf image. A new layer will be created automatically. (rename the leaf image "layer 0" Instead of "Background".)

To resize Image>Image Size...

To create transparency: File>Save for Web. Choose GIF as the format and check the transparency box. If you have a transparent background already that area will be transparent, if not you can select the Matte for the color you want to be transparent.

Hope it helps.

Wow JT that almost looked like you knew what you were doing!
