Once I convert my layers to tables, the newly created tables will sort of move from their original position. The layers were flush with both the top and the left sides of the browser, but upon being converted to tables, they move both down and to the right. Anyway I can make the tables flush with the top and left sides?

Did you mke sure the choices selected in the box that comes up when you convert layers to tables are what you want? Like the collapse less than, or the center on page, snap to grid, these options can shift things around so they work for more peoples set-ups (screen size and resolution). But if you really want to lock things down check the most accurate box.

go modify> page properties and set the left margin and top margin to 0. this will make the talbes flush with the top and left.
