I simply want to launch a pop up window when a page loads.

I did search the forum and google -- not sure if I'm using the right keywords. It seems pretty basic.

Thanks

onLoad event and window.open function should be enought but I'd consider if that's a good practice. Being a web user, I don't like websites throwing pop-us. Actually, I have the blocked.

Cheers,
Dian

If you successfully implement this please be aware that a small percentage of your page's audience will see it. Scripts that pop up windows with the onload on onunload handlers are blocked by almost all newer browsers. If you have any sort of important information in the popup you should be aware that it might often go unseen.

OK. I didn't think about blocking -- that makes sense. Thanks
