We have a Laserjet P2050dn that is experiencing a problem with printing. If you print out an excel document titled 'ABC invoice', the 2050 will print the invoice. If you then print out a test page from the PC, it will print out the ABC invoice again, but not the XP test page. Then when you go to print a status report page from the printer itself, it will print out the XP test page. This behavior has continued even after restarting the printer. It seems like the original print job gets stuck in the printer memory and then every other print job is one job behind, does that make sense? I am having problems finding solutions online because I don't really know what to call this issue, so any help you could provide would be appreciated....Thanks!

I have just worked on a similar problem on a HP LaserJet 2050dn:

Send Job A to print. Job A hits print queue and disappears as normal. Printer does not print out Job A.
Send Job B to print. Job B hits print queue and disappears as normal. Printer then prints out Job A
Job B will now not print out until another Job C is sent to the printer. Job C will not print until Job D printed, etc.

This has worked for me:

Accessed the embedded web browser of the printer (putting the IP address into IE) then clicked on the 'Settings' tab then selected 'System setup' from the left hand menu.

Set 'Auto continue' to 'On' (don't forget to click 'Apply')

Turn off the printer to clear anything in the buffer and try printing again.

Certainly solved my issue, hope it helps yours!
