Laserjet 4M plus Networked

I'm having dificulties setting up the printer on the network.

I have the Ip, subnet mask and gateway set fine. How do I get it to be found on the NT 4 network?

You have to use HP Jetadmin Software. If you don't have a cd for it, you can download from hp site.
Install the software on one of the machines on the network, prefarably the nt4 server.
Go to the Printer, print out a Self test from the Printer to get the mac address of the printer.
On nt4 , load hpjetadmin software , select to add new printer & enter the mac address of the printer. Printer will be recognized & the rest is straight forward.
