I have a major mystery. My beloved LaserJet 2200d refuses to print in single or duplex mode anything coming out of WordPerfect X3 (Corel) or another piece of software (The Master Genealogist, even if said program outputs in .doc format). It will print in either mode with no problem from Outlook Express, Firefox, or Quattro Pro (also a Corel product).
I am using XP Pro SP2 with all security patches (except SP3) installed regularly. The laserjet is attached to a D-Link Print Server which is working normally, sees the printer and reports everything is just fine.
I've uninstalled the printer six times today . . . . which involves removing the TCP/IP port from the Registry each time. I first installed the most recent pcl6 driver from HP and then when that didn't work, installed a previous pcl6 version (both of which turned out to be the same apparently). I was careful to delete all the old laserjet dlls, etc. from the appropriate folder prior to installation of the new driver. I have no problem printing a Test Page!
I haven't tried installing PS drivers because I had serious problems with the 2006 version. It just wouldn't work for me at all so I've avoided using this driver.
My HP 7960 inkjet is working perfectly, but I don't use this printer for word processing because it lacks an automatic duplex function. I'm essentially dead in the water.
Any ideas?
Leslie
