I hope someone can help me as I'm somewhat of a novice.
We use Windows Server 2000 ans I am running out of disk space. I have a simple question to start with. When a user delets a file from a network drive, where does it go? It doesn't go in the local recycle bin so I am assuming that it either goes into a shared recyle bin for the drive, or is lost for ever.
I ran a program called Scanner and out of the 93.6gig on the drive, 56gig is used in various directories and 40gig is reported as being in the recycle bin. How can I free up this space?
Any suggestions would be a great help!
