I have an ASUS ROG STRIX I7 G713QR-K1153T since november 2021. It has been working fine, every day, until today, out of the blue, the screen wobbled and suddenly I have a black line every ten pixels or so.
It is quite a nuisance for work.
Is there anything I can do, or is this a case of bring the laptop in for repair (as in, replace the screen) ?

Thank you for your opinion.

Are you capable of disassembly of this laptop? If so, I would reseat the VGA cable at the motherboard and see if that helps. If not, I would reseat on the back of the LED/LCD panel and see. The wobble you mention makes me think a cable strain but its hard to tell from that description. If you plug in an external screen is everything fine on that screen?

It's a laptop. I wouldn't know how to start dismantling it.
If it were a PC, I would already have swapped the video card to find out if that was the issue.
I reinstalled the video drivers, but that made no difference.
And yes, I tested with an external screen and it is fine and shows no distortion.
I guess I'll just have to bring it in for repair.

Yeah sorry. Sounds like it might need to go to a repair shop if you are not comfortable with disassembly. Was going to suggest at least attempting an updated driver but you already went down that road. Best of luck, hopefully you have a decent corner shop that can help you out.
