Laptop Memory testing

I bought a new Laptop and asked the shop to upgrade it from 128Mb to 256Mb.

I'm a little concerned that they gave me substandard memory as the the label has been ripped off the xtra memory and the latop is a bit sluggish at times for a 2Ghz 256Mb RAM machine.

The memory should be PC2100 DDR RAM, does anyone know how i can test if it is in fact that?

PC2100 /266 is pretty much the slowest DDR ram u can get don't think thats your problem. Is it a celeron cpu and laptop's are always slower than desktops mostly due to power saving.
