Hi

I have a laptop that runs NT 4.0 and 2000 which I haven't used for about a year.

I can't login. I am not trying to access a network, this is a stand alone computer.

It was set us with no password but now simply wont work............any ideas?!

As you can tell I am not a tekkie!!

Thanks a million

Do a search in Google for pnordahl, the first return is the registry/password hack utility. Create the disk , boot up the machine and reset the password for the local admin account. This should work ok,I have used it many times on win2k clients and member servers.(obviously only good for local SAM security database hacks)
