land development editing profile error

I am running Land Development 2006 and keep getting two error while I am trying to edit a finish ground profile :
MIcrosoft Visual C++ Runtime Lbrary error. c:/Program File/Autodesk Land Desktop 2006/acad.exe This application has requested the runtime to terminate it in an unusaly way. Please contact the application's support team for more informatin.

Instruction at "0x00a43ad8" referenced memeory at "0x00000028" the memery could not be "read".

I have installed MDAG 2.8 and it's service patch and have the latest Jet 4 OLE DB for windows XP installed.

What do I do to fix this. I tried updating MDAC to 2.8 and that didn't work.

I'm curious as to why you checked the MDAC. If it is related to this, check your sandbox mode in your regisitry. The options are:
[ul]
[li]0 - Sandbox mode is disabled at all times.[/li]
[li]1 - Sandbox mode is used for Access applications, but not for non-Access Applications.[/li]
[li]2 - Sandbox mode is used for non-Access applications, but not for Access Applications. This is the default value.[/li]
[li]3 - Sandbox mode is used at all times.[/li]

Last time I had this error I had the wrong version of MDAC installed on the computer. Once I loaded the proper MDAC it worked!!

Where would I find the sandbox mode in the registry??

Hi cluelessII,

Just do a search and look for Sandbox - it should return only one location - if it doesn't, it probably isn't an issue. Here's more information on sandbox mode:

If that's not the problem, you're probably in for a rebuild.
