LAN/WAN IP Broadcast Messages?

Anyone have any LAN/WAN Popup/Message broadcasting tools? I'd like to find on that will work with a range of IP addresses, vs computer names/groups/workgroups etc..

For example I'd like to send message "test" to 111.111.111.1 - 111.111.111.254, and then have the message "test" popup on the screen of PC's within the IP range.

Anybody know of any software that works like that?

What Operating System?

Win2k and XP contain the Net Send computername messsage native utility.

2K and XP.

Net Send doesn't let me use an IP Range though.

I found one called "Net Send Messenger 1.1", but it's kind of slow to watch it click through the IP Addresses.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't see anywhere to put in an IP Range?
