CAN ANYONE TELL ME WHETHER THESE PORTS ARE FULL OR HALF DUPLEX AS THE TECH BULLETIN(BELOW) STATES HALF BUT INSTALLATION DOCS STATE FULL DUPLEX 10/100 AUTO SENSING??

"The Fast Ethernet ports on the IP Office are set to half duplex. Avaya mandates that
when the IP Office 412 is plugged into a Fast Ethernet switch, the installer should verify
that the switch has negotiated to half duplex. It is the responsibility of the Installer to
know how to check for half duplex negotiation on the switch.
Failure to have the switch port negotiate to half duplex can cause poor voice quality in
the IP Office VoIP network.
This tip was previously issued as US Technical Tip Number 39.

My HP switch identifies it as Half Duplex.

MINE ALSO BUT DOCUMENTATION (BELOW) ALSO STATES TO THE CONTRARY? IS THIS CONFIGURABLE?

"LAN
RJ45 socket. These ports form a managed layer 3 Ethernet switch. The ports are full-duplex 10/100Mbps auto-sensing, MDI crossover ports."

THANKS SO IS FIXED AT HALF. THEY NEED TO GET THESE DOCS CORRECTED

They have, perhaps you should update your copy of the docs occasionally.

IF I AM WORKING ON 3.1 I WILL USE 3.1 DOCS AND THESE STATE THAT 412 LAN PORTS ARE FULL DUPLEX ALTHOUGH THIS HAS INDEED BEEN CORRECTED IN 3.2 DOCS.
INCIDENTALLY 3.2 406V2 LAN PORTS ARE DOCUMENTED AS FULL DUPLEX. PERHAPS THER ARE PLANS FOR 412V2 WITH FULL DUPLEX PORTS??

THAT'S FINE BUT PERHAPS YOU MIGHT WANT TO START WORKING FROM THE LATEST VERSIONS OF THE 3.1 DOCS - try Issue 13m of the Installation Manual ;-)

ps. SHIFT keys are on special offer at Radio Shack!
