Hi,

Does anyone know what LAN Port number is used to received the SMDR stream on a SV9300?

Thanks,

Does anyone have a cheat-sheet to set up SMDR on a SV9300? I followed the programming manual but not getting any records through so looking for what I am doing wrong.

Ok, more specifically, does anyone have the documentation of how exactly the terminal is supposed to initiate and connect to the PBX to receive the SMDR records?

I.e. what bits etc it needs to send? I need this for a custome SMDR terminal that is being developed for our purposes. I get the connection to the PBX but the only reply I get from the SV9300 are (depending on the settings):

T300003005Ê
T3000030055

So looks like I am getting somthing but not quite the right thing.

Thanks

We would usually use hyperterm to confirm call records are coming out of the system. At default outgoing calls are reported and incoming need to be set up. Garbage coming out usually meant that there was a baud rate mismatch.
See attached.

Thanks for your answer but I am not using serial, its an IP connection so baud rate is not applicable.

You should still be able to use hyperterm set up for LAN connection.

I used Hyper terminal like you suggested to connect trough IP on the Voip port, it is set to use the voip port, and it connects. If I press enter I get T3000030055 but on the main site (01) and remote site (05). But no data stream. I double checked the programming multiple times, reset the phone system and clearly it is accepting connections on port 60010 on the IP addresses but no SMDR.

Verify these settings:
To set stored billing data via IP
CMD 04>61>00: Station-to-Station call
01: Outgoing trunk call
0 : Available
1 : Not available

CMD 0B>001>92 Select the port for SMDR. •

0 : Maintenance Port
1 : VOIP Port

Reset system if this is changed.

Thanks for the reply. These are all set correctly. I did a search on the system data in PC pro for SMDR and checked every single setting too. It simply does not make sense.

I am not sure what the record you posted is for. A normal outgoing call record begins with "KA" = outgoing. Incoming would be "KJ". Both followed by time/date/number/extension, etc. Unless there is a bug in the software it should be sending out call records. You may need to call in your vendor to further troubleshoot it. I believe the system is still capable of sending call records out over a serial cable link. If you have one of the NEC serial cables you might try sending the call records over that just to prove that it works at all.
