PCs on network all use Win2K - clients are no longer able to access folders on server, error "Folder not found". What could cause this?

1)How long has this been going on?
2)Does this affect all folders or just some. If just some, do they have anything in common.
3)Do you have the box checked "Allow inheritable permissions" checked, if so, the security is coming down from a folder above the problem folders.
4)You stated nothing but w2k machines. Not going to get into the dns or wins issue, but with true w2k network, wins not needed.
5)Since using static ip's, try using a hosts file.
6)Run ipconfig /all and see if you're getting 169.254.x.x addresses. If you are, you've got other problems. That's APIPA giving you MS ip's meaning your network isn't working.
7)Throw this into the Windows 2000 server forum also.
Hope this helps.
