I am having an issue with an error "Add-Line-Provider failed" when rebooting the machine after installing the 7.5 version of LAN CTE. I know this client is supported by AVAYA and I have it working at another site with Komutel PC Console software. It is also my understanding that TAPI is not supported with this. Once I get past this error that I hope someone can help me with can I run this client in XP mode and get TAPI to work so that my customer can use it for Outlook Contacts Dialing? Usually we do not try something unsupported by AVAYA/Nortel.

LAN CTE only supports 64-bit for Release 6.0 of BCMs (I don't know which version of LAN CTE comes with this).
If you don't have a BCM Rls 6.0, it won't work.

The error itself sounds like it is coming from the TSP - the TAPI Service Provider (the front end is a little space shuttle icon in the taskbar).

Are you sure about this LAN CTE client 7.5 (Supports 64 Bit Windows 7) will only work on BCM 6.0? Becuase I have it working on a BCM 400 4.0. The machine is XP though. Or are you saying the Client will only work in 64 bit mode if the BCM is 6.0?

Avaya guide mention, LANCTE can be installed on 64bit Windows, but TAPI is not supported, that is why you had the error.

So this error is from trying to install the TAPI portion of the LAN CTE? If I just load the CTE Engine only I will not get this error?

Based on the book, you should be able to install LANCTE without TAPI, and no error. Let us know once you did.
