Recently upgraded BCM400 to 4.0 and all current patches have been enrolled. Problem is the LAN CTE client stops working on whatever machine I install it to. The client is interfaced to a 3rd party console for an operator station. The start is great it links to the BCM and shows that LAN CTE is being used, great. Then about a day, week, and hour or so later it stops and freezes the computer. The OS I have tried this on are: XP SP2, Server 2003, 2000 sp4. I have tried everything to keep it stable but this has proven to be an epic failure!

any thoughts?

Did you download and install a new client from the 400? You may even have to delete and re-install the application using the new client.

Yes I have downloaded the new client. All instances of the previous client have been removed to the registry level. I have also tried the client from the 3rd party console supplier. No joy.

Today I tried the LAN CTE Nortel config doc. Stability has improved but still causing the PC to freeze just not as fast.

DN is defined, LAN CTE client defined, service stopped and restarted, LAN CTE client reinstalled.

Client running on XP SP2 machine right now. Duo Processor, 2G memory, 300G HDD, Way more machine then client needs.

Any further ideas??

Check application compiler version instaled in PC versus LAN CTE Documentation.

Do use XML on your 3rd party application?

I will do that monday. I will check to see if the console uses XML, but I am almost certain its sql. I will double check as I wasnt pointing my finger in that direction.

Thanks
