One of my workstations (running win2000) can't see our network. When you go to Network and Dialup Connections LAN connection is not available.
The workstation was up and running yesterday w/no problems.
I'm not sure where to go from here. Is there another way to view the IP address and network setting?

1. Ping the loop back address 127.0.0.1
2. If you receive a replay it's working.
2. Has the PC been powered off?
3. I have had a similar issue in the past that I had to reinstall the nic card driver.

Have you tried another port on the network hub or reset the hub? Sometimes bottlenecks can cause it.
Does the server recognize the workstation? Have any permissions been modified?

I finally got it to 'see' the network.
I had to re-install a network driver...
