Labeling Phones

We are running Merlin Magix 2.2 v7.01

The handsets we gave are 4406D+ for most people and dept. heads have the bigger phones.

Some people have left our company and new people show up, but the phones have the old names shown on the display. The person who was using the WinSPM program has left and we are kind of lost as far as connecting to that. Is there a way to change the labels on the extensions via the handsets (going under administrator) or does it have to be done with the WinSPM software only? I was able to change the directory names and fix the voice mail and passwords with the handset, now just looking for label changes. TIA!!

You can do it from the programming phone.

sys program
start
more
labeling
directory
extensions
enter extension #
then change name.

think i got that right......pete

I am trying to label some extensions in Merlin Magix using a 4424LD+ operator console. The book is pretty clear until you get to the point where it says to hit the "drop" button. There isn't a drop button on this phone and if I try to key in the letters, the phone just beeps at me. Any help would be appreciated.

Now is the time to program a button as the DROP button.

On that set, I like to use one of the buttons jujst below the screen.
