Labeling error

I am on a windows 2000 pro, Legator v7.1, Exabyte EZ17 tape library (Mammoth drive), and new to Legato. When I try to label a tape I will get this error:

THen the tape will just hang and will not be able to unmount the tape (except manually).
any ideas?

It seems that the jukebox does not successfully unload the tape.

Question #1: Did you disable the "Removable Storage Manager" service?!!

Not doing this will most likely lead to unpredictable results.

Is there really a tape loaded? If not, you get funnies like this (where the jukebox and Networker's view of it are out if sync).

the service is not disabled.

It will load the tape then give the error, the tape will get wedge and will have to manually eject it from the drive.

I've got the same problem with service Removable Storage started or stopped.
I am on a windows 2000 server, Legato Networker v7.1, Quantum ATL@6.0.0.

Please help us!!!

Disable RSM.. Networker and RSM do not paly well..

Not sure if that works under windows, but it fix almost everything under my Unix machine.

On the Main NW server, that will reset the hardware status of the drives connected to the Main NW server
/usr/sbin/nsrjb -HE

On a storage nodes
/usr/sbin/nsrjb -HE -s mainnw.server.com

You need to specify the Main NW server address not the storage node one.

You can also run with -v, if you need more details...
