Question: I've been given pages of names and addresses that were either typed or scanned into a Word Document. They are set up as lables like such:

Person's Name
Institution
Address
City, St Zip
Phone
Fax

Person's Name
Institution
Address
City, St Zip
Phone
Fax

and so on.

They are looking to have this information in Excel in a list format.

Person's Name Institution Address....
Person's Name Institution Address....

If it were only a few it would not be a problem cutting pasting and transposing each data set, but there are 78 pages! Anyone have any ideas?

See thread707-1156096.

You should be able to adapt the technique for more rows.

One would think, but I guess I'm not getting my head around it.

Before I go on, your first post suggested that the data fit a pattern of 7 repeating lines. (6 lines of data followed by a blank line for each address.)

Is that correct, or are there sometimes more or fewer than 6 lines? E.g., If there is no institution, is the second line of the kit blank or is there no line between "Person's Name" and "Address"?

The technique described in thread707-1156096 only works when the number of lines is consistent.
