*) how to label advanced file type device from command promt or rather is there a way to label the advanced file type device from CMD

Check out the nsrmm -l command for in the command reference for labeling volumes.

Thanks a lot , found one from the command reference guide
nsrmm -m -f /dev/rmt/3cbn to mount
nsrmm -l -f devpath volumename
