I currently have my CCNA. I need some training/experience on configuring VLANs. What is the best Lab Simulator that would help me gain this valuable experience?

Boson/Cisco's new CCNA simulator. You can get the details from either Boson's site or Cisco's site. There is an upgrade patch to the upcoming CCNP simulator which supports goodies such as BGP and advanced switching/routing like the 3550.

Thanks, I was at Borders Bookstore and saw the Boson/Cisco

study guide. What about Cisco Lab training kits. I was

searcing on e-bay an notice that they're are a lot of kits

available. What hardware can you recommend? I was thinking

maybe two cisco 2500 series along with a catalyst 1900

switch.

Forget the 1900.. it's VERY old and while Cisco still talks about it, it is rarely found on the test. You can get what you need from the study guides. Spend the money on a 2912(or 2924) and a couple of 2500s. If you get a 2500 with 2 or more serial ports, a single command turns it into a frame relay switch :) Now you can hang a router off each serial port and go nuts with DLCIs and virtual circuits.

You can buy a kit if you want but with careful shopping you can do better on your own.
