I have a friend that lost the admin password on a KX-TVS100. He thought that the tech who will never come to fix the problem had said that you can hyperterm to the unit... Is there a back door password?
Yes there is a back to to the system . But you must call Panasonic Tech Dept. .Which you will have set-up a modem for Panasonic tech to call into. Give Panasonic a Call 201-348-4641.
Is it just the Mailbox 999 or 998 password that you are missing? These are not the same as the password to get into programming via computer. Most customers that I have taken over from other vendors have had no password through PC programming. You might get lucky if you try. The settings are 9600b 8/n/1. You need a serial cable with a null-modem adaptor. Press enter to start programming.
I have the same problem as Mongo, as I need to delete/reconfigure some voicemail boxes. I have the software and cable working correctly, but I cannot login due to the password problem. My original vendor is out of business. I called the 1-201-348-4641 for the Panasonic tech dept, but that is a fax #.
Anyone know the override password or the default admin password?
I have a similar problem: TVS50, customer wants to re-record the Greeting, can access as 998, but we don't know what the password is for the Manager. Is there a default? I did connect to this unit about a year-and-a-half ago with Hyperterm, but I can't remember any passwords and I am currently on the road.
I guess I need the default password for 998 when accessing from a telephone.
Not sure is its the same on the TVS as the TVP but I seem to remember that if you needed to get into the VPS via hyperterminal and there was a password set, you could enter panasonic or password backwards...thats the backdoor for the TVP's. Might be the same for the TVS's...
