Hi
We have a Panasonic KXTDA-30 system at work with the following slots in use:
DHLC4, DLC4, LCOT4, LCOT4, DLC8, DLC8

We seem to have a problem adding more phone to the system - we have enough spare slots available to plug the phones into the switch but when we reach a certain number of phones adding further phones either results in a 'card obstacle E033102 error" or the phone doesnt power up, or adding the phone shuts down the system!

Any ideas how do resolve this problem would be greatly appreciate - it almost seems like there is insufficient power in the switch to run the phones when a critical number is reached.....

Thanks for your help

Arun

you may need a mec card as well.

count all extensions connected plus add 4 for the slt ports on the dhlc4 card even if not in use.
if this adds up to above 28 you will need a memory expansion card as well as second psu.

this is different to the load count all extensions are 1 point even the older 74xx series

Great thanks, based on that formula I get exactly 28 when I run into problems, will get a MEC and revert back :)

Thanks for your help

Ive looked in the manual and there is no mention of a memory expansion card for the TDA-30 and I can only find these available for TDA-100 up....the TDA-30 seems to use an SD card for memory, where does the MEC plug into, and do you know the model number?

Dont worry, found reference to it6 in the programming manual

The extra MEC and power supply worked thanks for your help everyone
