Hi,

I'm inheriting a TVS200 system from a previous owner, and I need to reset the system password (or recover it if possible). Does anyone know how to do this? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I don't have the software for the voicemail system, only for the PBX. So I haven't plugged in a laptop yet. But if the voicemail software is like the PBX software, you have to enter a password prior to accessing it via a data cable.

there is no software except for 3rd party stuff

plug in the same cable as the pbx 9 to 25 with null modem adapter set up hyperterminal
up 9600,8.N.1 no flow control hit enter twice the pass word on the
200 is an installer option so you have a 50/50 chance there is no password on it or if it is not mission critcal
and it its yours to keep why would you not dump it!!

Well to be more clear, it's a voicemail system in use at a company I'm working at. I can't dump it, and they don't know who setup the password on it previously, so they don't know who to contact. In any case, I have to setup a voicemail box for a user, and I need to reset his voicemail box password also. But I would like to be able to use a 3rd party software to configure the system. Do you know if there's a way to reset the system password?

hook up a computer and see it may be all you need to do you have a 50/50 chance that the programing port is not passworded and reset or add mailboxes"just do it"

or you can plug in a direct connect modem and beg panasonic to dial in!!

If you don't have the password and there is one on the programing port and boxes 998 + 999 are passworded as well
all the the 3rd party software in the world is not going to help you are SOL!!

I've never got that one to work but it worth a try.

you can call panasonic tech & show ownership to TVS unit . they have a back door password . you must set-up an modem for panasonic to your TVS unit . had it done few time for us.

password backwards won't work on the latest units. Dealer backdoor code was disabled for the last production run of TVP/TVS's

yes that is true a picked up a new client was able to crack
the 1232 and wound up dumping the tvs and reprograming it

had a zoom 2836 with me and all and they could not backdoor
the unit
