Hello all,
I'm new to this field and I run into problem. Hope you guys would help me out.
So I've noticed that everytime I call to a number that has answering machine (the one that tells u to press 1 to talk to cust rep, press 2 for billing issue, and so on), and if i do press one of the number, say 1. My call would get disconnected right away. I wonder if this can be fixed by changing setting in maintenance console?
I appreciate your help. Thank you.

In the U.S. If you dial *82 or 1182, you get a new dial tone and can dial a call with the number marked as "private". If you don't screen for the possibility of CLASS codes, then your TRS won't work the way you expect. However, here we have to allow for *57 to cover call trace.

Since I don't know the U.K. numbering plan, I can't advise you on specific numbers. Don't you put your mobile phones in different exchanges and can they be mixed with regular numbers?

Hi LkEErie,
LOL I live in Indonesia so dialling codes aren't the same with us or uk. I just put zero cause most of dialling codes start with 0, but thats just off the top of my head. Otherwise I don't need to restrict asterisk, hash and 11 ,do i?

@cwc3: Thanks for replying. Sorry I don't understand you mean. Could you explain? I should check what numbering plan?
