KX-TDA100 with a TVM50- Message waiting fault

Hi

i've got a customer whose has got a KX-TDA 100 with a TVM 50.

She has a key on her phone programmed as Message waiting for the voicemail for group 601 which is the admin department.

We seem to have a fault. Where when the light comes on for this button. She presses it to retrieve her messages and rather than going to her voicemail it rings other phones around the site. eg. the kitchen or bar.

The only way to clear this is to wait for the other person to answer or press the clear flex key button on the her phone.

Can anyone help me? i am at a loss to why this happening.

Could it be a TVM programming issue or a KX-TDA 100 programming issue??

sound a bit like the key is prog for ICDG 601 try reprog the key for MSG wait.
If not then look at the prog in the VM

I've dialled in remotely using the Programming tool and it's definately programmed as a Message wait 601 key.

I can't see what TVM programming could cause this to happen, as when you press the key it bypasses the voicemail and rings an extension.

I've just tried deleting the flex key, saving it and then re-programming flex key and re-saving it.

Try pressing the key and reading the display. It will tell you whhere it's going. If you call a phone and press MESSAGE, it will light the MW light. *700 plus your ext clears ALL messages on your phone.

You might want to review all the MW codes and features.

I have just had a reply on another site, saying that it sounds like somebody is either phone group 601 and then pressing the message key or are dialling 6014 with pressing the line key.

Both the kitchen and the bar are proprietary telephones.
It's a Southport number and there isn't a telephone number starting 01704 601xxx.

It has also happened from the fax aswell, when she's pressed the message waitng key for 601 on her phone, its come up to ring the fax machine.

I can't see that someone would dial 601 from the fax and then dial 4.

If we remove 4 from the numbering plan, will that stop the voicemail sending notification of a message being left for the group???
