Hi there,
any idea whether having ISDN expansion card (KX-TD286) allows me to use the default analog COs at the same time? If so, how should I do that (In setup program, I can only see the ISDN COs available).
maybe rivet will chime in ,don't do a lot of isdn stuff here
but kinda seem like it would only wipe out 6 of the analog trunks but maybe it walks on all of them. I'm sure the manual will tell you for sure!
guess what!! I was reading the book for you and as far as I can tell you should be able to have both analog and isdn
lines. it walks on a slave ksu if you have one so
if you have 12 pots lines on there you should be able to
have up 23 more possible line appearances.
Thank you both for the input,
I have 286 ISDN card, which is 6 BRI lines --> 12 CO lines, which consumes up all my 12 COs available for the unit. I don't have a slave unit, and other 12 COs available for that unit are inactive... my 8 analog lines were simply all wiped off by ISDN lines.
ah well you answered the question yourself
12 lines with a mixture of BRI and annalogue is all it can take the only time the 12 line rule doesnt apply is when using a pri...
you will need another cab if you want more lines.
Yep. Actually I don't need all of the 6 BRIs - just 3 of them are really connected, so if I could find a way to disable some of them (so that analog can take over) that would be fine with me (I simply want to trade some of 6 BRIs for analogs).
