I have a customer with a KX-TD1232 mated with a TVS-50 and I'd like to set up the dedicated message waiting lamp on each individual's telephone for their personal mailbox notification, and a flexible CO button on each for a general mailbox. I can't seem to get the flexible buttons to accept a mailbox other than the extension owner's. Can this be done?

depends what revision ksu do you have what
are you using for a programing utility?

I'm using the old programator program, but I also tried setting the flex co using the system admin phone. It seems that the system will only allow you to program a flex co to the extension owner's box(obviously a provision for phones without a dedicated msg light). The book talks about extra parameters (i.e. other extension) but I could'nt get it to accept anything but the msg lamp function selection.

if the ksu is 8 years old you have a very old rev
most likley need -4 or higher to have others MWL
on your extension!

also if you have a -4 you can only assign other
exts message waiting lights flexable buttons through field 005 on jack one.

I would not use programator at all!can cause more harm than
good.

I'll check the rev level on the KSU. Thanks very much for your help. Suggestions on better programmer that's reasonably priced?

sorry can not help you there the TD is still a closed
system and software belongs to panasonic.

Checked KSU and it's a -5. I can select field 005 and assign "message waiting" to the button of my choice, but the system won't allow any additional parameters (i.e. extension). Thoughts now?

I have a -4 here and all i have to do is go to
jack one get into programing field 005 speaker -jack number enter jack 05
button 3 MW- shows on the screen key in a 3 digit number
and hit auto dial/ store wala if that doesn't work it's
not a -5!

Sorry, I didn't have the right info on version. Full ROM version number is P231A70613A.

I suppose upgrading the systems takes a bunch more than just swapping out the eproms?
