Hi, I am new to this forum.

I have kx-td1232 and KX-TVS100. The phone system has been acting wiered lately. Here is a description of my problem.

1) When all co lines are in use the phone system automatically sends the caller to a messages that says: "extension 11 is not available to take your call, sorry mailbox is full you cannot leave a message for this user good bye"

2) when we cant pick up the phone calls in time usually about 3-4 rings it automatically sends the caller to a messages that says: "extension 11 is not available to take your call, sorry mailbox is full you cannot leave a message for this user good bye"

I would like to change the message message to state that we were not able to answer the call in time and send the caller to a good mailbox to leave a message.

I would appreciate if anyone had some suggestions on how to fix this problem.

Thanks.

first off all when all co lines are in use you get a busy signal unless you have co voicemail on the lines too...

ext 11 ? these are 3 digit exts ? get into ext 11 mailbox
and purge messages its full....

Hi cwc3,

thank you for responding to my post. we do use extensions with 3 digits, so I am also a little confused as to why the system states that it is ext 11.

I tried to get to ext 11 but I dont know how to.

Usually when I want to get to an extension, all I usually do is pick up sp-phone button and key in the extensions for example 105 or 107 and it would try to reach that extension.

Any more ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Thank You,

when you retrieve messages from the outside you do #6 * 105 right unless some wack job set tvs up with 2 digit mailbox numbers .other thought comes to mind if you are get a message when all lines are busy then you have CO voicemail on the lines too....

Yes, from outside we dial #6 * 105 to access voice mail.

so i am certain we are using 3 digits.

and regarding the situation about we have 5 lines coming in from the carrier and when all 5 lines are in use. Callers are being sent to that wierd message "extension 11 is not available to take your call, sorry mailbox is full you cannot leave a message for this user good bye"

one would have thought that users would get a busy signal. so i guess the system is set up with CO voicemail on the lines too as you mentioned. so my concern is how do we change that message "extension 11 is not available to take your call, sorry mailbox is full you cannot leave a message for this user good bye"

Also not sure if this would help you but our 5 lines are set up as a hunting so, the customer dials the main number and if the first is busy it hunts to the next available line.

I thought that maybe the main operator phone KX-T7433 was set up forwarding the callers to that extension 11 message so I tried to cancell all the call forwarding from that line by hitting intercom 7100 to cancel all call forwarding but that still didn't work.

my point exactly you should normally get a busy signal !are are these verizon lines ?

do you get a stutter when you go off hook on any of these lines?

no we were originally with at&t then changed to a company called cbeyond.

not sure what you mean by stutter? but when we pick up the lines everything sounds normal. ususally just press sp-phone and hit 9 to grab a line.

Wow, a tough thread to follow. Call your dial tone provider and ask if they have Voice Mail or Call waiting installed on any lines. Ask them how to get the messages off the voice mail before they remove the feature.

If you press CO1, you should hear a different dial tone, one that stutters before it goes solid. That's your indication that you have messages in your voice mail box.

While you're at it, if you have a fax line from these turkeys, make sure that CW is not on that line too.

Hi lkeerie,

thanks for the input. I think you might be onto something. Because now that you bring that up about the carrier. I didn't noticed this problem when we were with at&t. Since we switched carriers this problem has come about. I will give them a call on monday to see if they have voice mail or call waiting installed on any of the lines.

Thanks again. I will post info after I talk with them.

Thanks.

cbeyond has class message waiting so you wouldn't here a stutter ... And there is a web accessible gui for voicemail sounds like you have multi-user voicemail and its mailbox 11 may be the gdm Like carl says call them and as he suggests !

I think this problem is on cbeyond end (carrier), when I log onto their website interface to turn off the call forwarding feature for no answer and busy than the system behaves as it should for no answer it will constantly ring for busy than it gives the caller a busy signal.

when I turn the feature back on than I get the wierd message back: "extension 11 is not available to take your call, sorry mailbox is full you cannot leave a message for this user good bye"

I just emailed their support department to see if they can look into this. I will post the repsonse later.

Thanks again.

Hi All thank you for your help. The problem that I have been having is from my carrier. Cbeyond has been forwarding these call to some unknown mail box extension. They just reset the mail box and now it is working as it should.

I have been pulling my hair out trying to figure out the problem to something I have no control over.

Thanks again everyone.
