I have inherited a customer, which is a school district using a KX-NS700 system with KX-NT553 phones in the offices and KX-HDV130 phones in the classrooms. I have changed names, as requested by the customer, on several extensions using the Maintenance Console. However, the names did not change on the idle displays of the phones. When an extension is called, the caller sees the correct name. This only appears to be an issue on the phones where the names have been changed. I have been in the business 30+ years, but I am new to the Panasonic Kingdom. Any advice would be appreciated.

Sometimes, I feel like a kindergartner missing out on recess, because certain kids won't shut up and get in line.

Those HDV Phones are SIP im sure, can you log in to them via IP address?

You have to go to the handset and enable web access in settings, you can then web into the phone and change it as long ad it is the default password on the phone

You can see the IP address in the system or on the phone

Is it the display for the DSS Keys on the phones which is not updating?
Yo may have to manually change the label on each extension

Thank you all for your input. I did not realize that this had to be done separately, apart from system programming. I ended up going to each phone, gathering up addresses and turning on web access. I will also be setting up each phone with static up addresses, which my predecessor did not do. That way, next year, when teachers move around, I can easily access the web manager without having to go to each phone again.

Again, I appreciate the input.

You will need to disable web access from closing the access to the phone as it will close. If not you will have to go to each phone and open web access again next year
