I am using VB6 and trying to scan an image with a scanner in my application. But I cannot find kodak image scan control component in my Project|Componenet listing. My operating system is Windows XP. It seems like Kodak image scan control is missing. However, on my other machine with Window 2000 operating system, the kodak image scan control componenet is there. Is there anyone can tell me how I can installed it on my xp machine? Or is there other scan control that I can use in my VB program?

Your help is greatly appreciated.

Since I can remember the Wang/Kodak controls have come with the win?? OS. On some earlier versions of windows you had to specifically select imaging for the controls to be installed. This may be the case with XP, but on the other hand I think I heard someone say that the controls are not being distributed with XP. Could be wrong. Check installation options (add remove programs) with XP and see if you can find them there.

Good Luck

none of the Kodak imaging controls work with XP thats why you can't find them. They will only show as components in Win2K and earlier

Thank you for your reply. Since Kodak scan control does not work under XP. Do you happen to know other ActiveX or component that will work under XP?
