Know issues with Crystal Viewer 8.5 and IE 6.0?

I have reports created and running with CR 8.0. They are delivered to browsers using Page Server on an NT server. Everything works fine in the IE 5.0, 5.5 and 6.0 environments.

Recently, I began evaluating CR 8.5 and installed in on a machine. This machine has IE 6.0 installed. When I requested the pages from the web server, the Report Viewer causes IE 6.0 to fail. The Report Viewer had the 8.5 logo in the upper right corner. It does not return the report, generates a bug report to be sent to Microsoft, and IE 6.0 restarts.

Is this a known issue, or is there a work around. I am concern about installing CR 8.5 on multiple systems and then having the web server stop working?

I had the same problem when I installed CR 8.5. The file crviewer.dll was conflicting with IE. I did not find any fixes to it but I renamed the crviewer.dll in the Program Files/Crystal Reports directory and it worked.
