Help, in Freehand10 my Knife-Tool is not cutting correctly.
Im using a Pc with Windows2000.

When im drawing a Path, and then cloning it and cutting it in 2 Points the first point is closed while the second is cut correctly (open path).

The Cut-Tool options are, like they should be:
Straight,
Width 0,
Close path unchecked
near checked.

I´m redrawing a graphic an want to build the graphic with path. Draw a path, clone it, cut it (2 points), remove the unneeded path, continue drawing with the leftover.

p.s. on work i'm using a mac and there its working. But i hate macs, sorry :)

I don't want to say something simplistic that would give you offence but a couple of very simple reasons may be:

1 that you are not selecting both paths after the cloning process. Cloning only leaves the new path selected.
or
2 that the first path is locked. Cloning a locked path gives an unlocked clone but does nothing for unlocking the first path.
or
3 The first path is grouped. You are actually cutting it but you can't see the cut unless you ungroup it.
or
4 some combination of 2 & 3 like; you are cloning to a different layer than the first path is in and the first path's layer is locked or turned off. This occurs when you group across layers. You select from within a group and clone to the active layer. etc.
