Hi

Is it possible for a program to delete its self from the system?

I feel it's not possible to do so in windows OS as if the file is in use then the OS doesen't allow it to manipulate the file in any respect.

I think one way to do it is to create a batch file within the program with the line

del progname

and then use

system(batch file);

within the program. I have'nt tried it though.

I'm not hsure if there exists some key in registry to make that, but the standard method is to use windows install shield. what will be resposible for installing/uninstalling in the way you want. John Fill
