I have a Cisco 7970 connected to SIP as the CCM is not accessible from my location. I brought the phone up and working today, barely with a SEPcnf.xml file, but after first few TFTP relays, the phone no longer recognized the server. I did a factory reset and LOST everything....the phone is pitch black now, what did I do? Are these phones fixable?

whats the 10 dollar a year service contract with Cisco? Is it for people with just one Cisco phone on SIP? If I killed the firmware, is Cisco going to sell firmware to just one user? I just want to throw this phone out in the street and get joy out of watching many taxi cabs run over it....joking, its a great phone and I want to use it to its potential.

I reloaded the SIP firmware and carefully filled out the VOIP provider in the code and got everything up and running....and I even figured out how to do background images on the color 7970, all is good knock on wood.
