Hi,

When I press 2+shift key, instead of printing inverted commas (") -which is printed on the actual key- it prints the @ symbol, and what should be the @ key prints the inverted commas. I think it's the way keyboards are laid out in the US or something? It's always been like this and is very annoying!!

How do I swap them around? I've tried going into Control Panel/Regional & Language Settings and Control Panel/Keyboard, but can't find anything there.

Thanks

What OS are you dealing with? There are some differences.

You could also look in help. Should be something there that will point you to the correct way to change the keyboard in the OS.

Seems to me you have USA settings for your UK keyboard.
You don't say which OS you are using, but here's a screen shot from the WinXP control panel.

Start -> Settings -> Control Panel -> Regional and Language Settings -> Languages -> Details -> Settings.

I recommend deleting the USA option and also ensuring your Sysytem Locale is UK. ( )

hey i tryed what you said expet im from the US both options didnt change my keys arround do you know whats wrong? i know the OS my freind gave me isnt real its called Windows Tiny and i just got a new computer anyone know whats wrong?

Windows Tiny" suggests that you have a stripped down version of Windows - part of the stripping process meant that the localization files are not on the install CD therefore cannot be changed. It's very likely that you will find many other bugs in this illegal version of Windows - best buy a legitimate copy.

Well @that worked@ - hey! maybe I have to reboot...

I"ll be back

Well it does require that you spot the "Add" button - but hey! Thanks. Have a star.
