Howdy,
Try applying a little pressure on it. It may have unclipped from the mechanism that makes it spring up. Don't push too hard so as to damage it, just a bit more pressure than you would when using it normally. If it has come off, when pressure is applied, you should hear a click and that should be it.
This may not be the fault but it's worth a try. Whenever i've had that problem with laptops, the keys has come off the mechanism.
